Jurassic Coast- Situated on the English Channel Coast, Jurassic Coast stretches from Dorset to East Devon, around 96 miles. Jurassic Coast also extends from Swanage to Lyme Regis, then to East Devon. Jurassic Coast has many different landmarks including Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.
Chesil Beach - Chesil Beach is also located in Dorset and is one of the three major shingle structures in Britain. It runs from Portland to Lyme Regis. Our closest beach is West Bexington and also has the South West costal path at the rear of beach. Also good line fishing. Location for novel and film for Chesil Beach.
Golden Cap - Golden Cap is a hill and cliff situated on the English Channel and one of the highest points throughout Dorset. (near Chideock)
Thorncombe Beacon - Thorncombe Beacon is a hill situated between Bridport and Charmouth. It is a fantastic hill area for travelling and hiking.
Lewedon Hill - Lewedon Hill is located in West Dorset. As the highest point in Dorset, it is the perfect spot to overlook the county. (This a walk to the highest point in Dorset from a small town of Beaminster)

There are many historic areas to visit including Tyneham Village (Tyneham is a ghost village. villagers had to leave as it was commandeered by the Ministry of Defence and the villagers never were allowed back. There is a lovely walk to Walbarow Bay. Check internet for firing and opening times before visiting. (near Lulworth on the Isle of Purbeck). There is an hourly bus taking you along the Jurassic Coast Line, with the bus service operating between Poole and Lyme Regis, giving you a great opportunity to travel throughout the towns and villages in Dorset.
